ISO 14042 - Life Cycle Impact AssessmentThe purpose of Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCIA) is to assess a system's Life Cycle Inventry results with the aim of improving understanding with regard to their potential environmental significance. LCIA specifically uses impact categories and associated indicators to simply LCI results with regard to one or more environmental issues. Examples of environmental issues include, amongst others, global warming potential (GWP), acidification and ozone depletion potential (ODP).
